For vacationers searching for fiery nightlife and pleasant weather, Ayia Napa is one of the best choices out there. World famous to a younger crowd of holidaymakers thanks to its vibrant atmosphere, the town’s nightclubs are excellent for music fans, and the numerous beaches will come in very handy whilst recovering from the night before.
If you opt to take a day trip, the town has plenty to offer all tastes and budgets. WaterWorld Waterpark is an exciting place for big groups of friends or families; with 21 rides, an ice cream bar and a crepe restaurant, it’s perfect for any person wanting to really blow off steam. There’s also go-karting and paintballing for those who love action, and if you have that spark of adventure, visit Nissi Beach to try out bungee jumping. Napa Bungee has been running since the early 80s and has consistently maintained a 100 percent safety record; you can even try a joint jump with an instructor if you’re feeling nervous, and fancy dress jumping is always encouraged. Always bring a camera to capture all the action!
Ayia Napa holidays are renowned for the clubs and nightlife in the town centre, and music fans will be excited to catch the DJs that often work in the bigger clubs for the summer. The square in the town centre is the primary hotspot for bars and clubs, with many of the liveliest venues located here. Night entertainment in Ayia Napa is a little different to that in Britain, with plenty of bars not opening until around 10pm and most revellers beginning their nights a bit past midnight.
Luckily, this gives you plenty of time to wander about and eat a leisurely dinner at one of the many restaurants in the town. There are plenty of seafood places to enjoy the gastronomic bounty of the sea, or for something a little more exotic, try Fiji Cuisine on the Main Street. This fabulous Polynesian restaurant offers plenty of exotic meat and vegetable dishes, cooked in a traditional way and flavoured with plenty of spice. Not for the faint hearted, but definitely rewarding if you like trying something unique.
While Ayia Napa’s evening entertainment is surely enjoyable, there’s plenty to do when the sun is out as well. The town and surrounding area features a total of 14 beaches, all of which have been awarded the EU Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety. Nissi Beach is generally the busiest, offering activities such as bungee jumping, water sports and even beach parties to its guests. For a more quiet option, head out to Grecian Bay for stunning views and plenty of quiet sunbathing: great for topping up the tan. The Bay also offers water sports such as diving, jet skiing and parasailing; big groups find it excellent to keep everyone occupied and happy through the day.
And if yourre looking for somewhere to spend the night, don’t worry: Ayia Napa has plenty of accommodation for all budgets. From cheap hotels to luxurious villas, you’ll soon be able to find something for your taste, although remember that summer can be quite busy for the town. If there’s a specific hotel where you want to stay in, or you have specific requirements, try to book as early as possible to avoid hassles.
However you choose to spend your tour in Ayia Napa, the town’s robust nightlife and the many activities on offer are excellent for those who like plenty to do on holiday. You may not get adequate rest while you’re away, but the pristine beaches are great for the odd day of relaxation if need be, especially if you’re prepared to head away from the town centre for a little while All you have to do now is reserve a trip.
